Volendam Fishing boat race
The guide will explain all sightseeing on the way, such as the origin of the polder land, the history of fishing villages in general and the history of Volendam and other villages along the IJsselmeer in particular.
Upon arrival groups will be divided on original old fishing-boats, they learn why the sails are brown instead of white and they learn how to sail. The event can also contain a competitive element, where the boats race again each other. The tour leads to Monnickendam.
